Multi-Species Guide

Leading unique fishing expeditions in the Shawnee National Forest

It has been 26 years since I boated my first Muskie. There is something about pursuing old esox that makes a man return to his primordial skills.  Man Vs. Nature.  I live for the experiences on the lake and what nature has to offer while out in the boat.

I currently have a B.S. in Health Education & Recreation from SIUC, with a specialization in Outdoor Education.  I’m also a certified outdoor leader through the Wilderness Education Association. My passion for fishing comes from my father who put me on my first muskie at age 6. We were fishing Long Lake on the LacDue Flambeau chain when the magical moment happened.

My home water is the secluded Lake Kinkaid in Southern Illinois, which has over 2,750 fishable acres. I have been fishing the lake for over 10 years and have come to love the challenges this lake provides. I always enjoy the opportunity to work with the Musky Armor Team and guide for Chad Cain's Guide Service. I hope to not only provide informative fishing facts about Kinkaid Muskies and walleye, but also teach people about the importance of Leave no Trace and Catch & Release practices.

My #1 goal is to catch big fish and provide excellent customer satisfaction.
